What is this page for?
I know I'm not currently teaching (and haven't been for over a year now), but with everything that's been happening, I keep thinking about the impact this is having on all the students, their families, and their teachers.
I also know the response from districts has varied all over. Some are having teachers still teach the curriculum, but have shifted it to online learning. Others are providing optional learning opportunities for students online, but not requiring any work. Some families are being expected to homeschool their kids (on top of working from home!), while others are told they can focus on doing what they need to do during this time.
Personally, I think this is not the time to focus on curriculum. I can barely focus on my own work responsibilities; I can't imagine how students could focus on learning right now, or how their parents could focus on teaching them, or how teachers could focus on designing and implementing online learning. I hope most districts are adopting the "here's some optional things your child can work on and do to stay busy/sane" route - it gives everyone more options and flexibility with how and what they do with their time.
I've seen a number of different resources shared online (on Facebook and Twitter) - I've been reposting those as I see them, but I wanted to compile them all into one place.
So here it is - I hope that maybe some of these resources will prove useful to someone out there.
